Many of our guests love to bring their own boats and
use our private dock with a 20' slip and electric hoist. The slip and hoist
are limited to a 21' boat weighing no more than 4000 pounds. Other guests
prefer to rent a boat during their stay at the Chalet.
The boat dock is at the bottom of our property and requires a short hike
down the path to the river. Those not in good shape
will find the walk back up to the house a bit strenuous.
Public Boat Launches
There are 2 public boat launches nearby.
Camp Pedernales (also known as
Mona's) 264-2735 is about 7 miles away by car and about 2 miles by boat.
Continue north on RM 2322 (Pace Bend South) past the Waterski Chalet for
about 3.5 miles, and turn left at Old
Ferry Road. Follow this over 3 miles to the water
where you'll end up at Camp
Pedernales. It is
open 24 hours a day for 7 days a week, but you may need to go to the
owner's house to pay the $10 launch fee.
Pace Bend Park, at the end of RM 2322 (Pace Bend Road South),
is a large State park that includes a public boat launch. The boat ramp is
about 12 miles away by car and about 6 miles by boat. Park entrance fee is
$10 per day. For more information, go to the Park's

Renting a Boat
We recommend Briarcliff Marina, which is just down
the street. They have ski boats,
pontoons and wave runners for rent.
